JOHN SADDLER
Education: Grand Rapids Junior College,
Western Michigan University, and Alabama
A&M University. LUTCF(Life Underwriters
Training Council Fellow) and a Series 6 & 63.
Community Development: 1994 - Chairman
of the Economic Development ministry at New
Hope Baptist Church. 1997 - Community
Development Credit Union Chartered and
running for the West-End community.
2005 - a grant of $4.25 million dollars was
awarded by HUD to build 62 units of Senior
Citizens Apartments, (Garden of Hope).
2006 - John and Dr. Crystal Spivey were
awarded a 5 year grant in the amount of $3
million dollars to teach abstinence in the
Birmingham Schools.
Career Highlights: 45 years in the Insurance industry with ownership in three Allstate agency offices in Homewood, Leeds, and Birmingham. May 2011, John was inducted into the Allstate Financial Hall of Fame. 2015 John along with his Financial Specialist were named and awarded “The Best in Company Award”, for Financial Service Partnership.
Religious Affiliation: Member, Church of the Highlands. Involved in the Prison Ministry, John and his wife Jackie, host the weekly Sunday services for COTH at Tutwiler Woman’s Prison in Wetumpka, AL. He is also sits on the Boards of Christ Health Center, and the Moton Foundation, LLC.
Personal: 24 years of blissful marriage to Jacqueline Stone Saddler. He is father to Camille (R.I.P.), Rodney (Penny), Monique, Spirit (Loren-Tenisha), Jameel. He is the Grandfather to Rodney, Jalen, Jazmine, Jordan, Imani, Kayla, Sean (R.I.P.) and great-grandfather to Cory and Corryn.

ALEX BUMPERS
Alex Bumpers is a seasoned banker with over 17 years in the industry. In his current role as a portfolio manager at BB&T, Mr. Bumpers is responsible for understanding and articulating BB&T’s commercial credit policies, procedures, and processes with internal partners. Mr. Bumpers’ responsibilities include recommending credit structures with respect to quality, risk,
and overall profitability. In previous roles Mr. Bumpers has managed sales teams, with account abilities including recruiting, managing, and retaining top talent for his organization. Mr. Bumpers graduated from Oberlin College in 1999 with a degree in Economics. Mr. Bumpers’ has a passion for engaging with youth and passing on the knowledge that he has acquired throughout his diverse career in corporate America. Mr. Bumpers is excited about partnering with Boys to Men Fishers of Men to inspire and encourage the next generation of
leaders.

JIM STEFKOVICH
Since January 2017, Jim Stefkovich has operated Stefkovich Consulting Solutions (STEFCO SOLUTIONS) LLC, providing weather support through media, decisions support services, potential litigation and training exercises. With almost 35 years of operational experience with the National Weather Service, Jim retired as the Meteorologist In Charge of the Weather Forecast Office in Birmingham. He is active in Prison Ministry, having served at Bibb, Childersburg, Columbiana, and St. Clair Correctional facilities. Jim has been married for 28 years to wife Barbara and has two adult children living in the Birmingham area.

GENE McCORD
Mr. McCord is a 38-year veteran of the pharmaceutical industry. In his capacities, he has served in many different positions. Currently he is a contract manager assigned to Pfizer where he has been for the last 9 years. Mr. McCord and his wife, Bonita, are both natives of Birmingham Alabama. They have 2 adult children, both residing in Alabama. Mr. McCord earned his bachelor’s degree(University of Alabama Birmingham), master’s degree(Troy State) and completed additional on campus education at Wharton, Columbia Graduate School of Business and Michigan University in Strategic Planning, Executive Leadership and Marketing. In addition to being in contract management, Mr. McCord is currently attending Transformation Ministries School of Ministry, serving in Correctional Ministry and is an active member of the Church of the Highlands in Birmingham.

RALPH MAYES
Ralph was educated in the Birmingham Public School System. He earned his B. S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee Institute, Tuskegee, Alabama. He furthered his education by completing a Masters of Art degree in Public and Private Management from Birmingham Southern College. Mr. Mayes earned his juris doctorate in 2003 and is currently in the general practice of law as a solo practitioner.
He is married to Debora Carter Mayes. Ralph and Debora have two daughters and two grandchildren. They are members of Woodland Park Church of Christ, where he currently serves on the Board of the Woodland Park Christian Learning Center.

VAUGHN PICKENS
Mr. Pickens is a native of Bessemer, Alabama. He is a graduate of Birmingham Southern College, where he majored in Accounting. Mr. Pickens has worked with AT&T in Project Management for over 15 years. He is married to Vanessa and they have three children and 2 grandchildren. Vaughn enjoys traveling, spending time at the YMCA, and spending time with his family. He is a diligent person, a life learner, and loves helping others.

TERRENCE B. SCOTT, SR.
Terrence is the Director of Economic Development for the National Congress of Black Women. He has over fifteen years of experience in the insurance industry and ten years of experience in economic development. His love for young people was enhanced when he became the Youth Director for Sardis Missionary Baptist Church from 1997 until 2006. Terrence is a 1989
graduate of Tuskegee University. He and his wife, Sandra have six adult children and 7
grandchildren.
